Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before we begin. If something isn't answered here, reach out — I'm happy to talk it through.

What kinds of therapy do you offer?

I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and trauma reprocessing therapy. I offer weekly sessions for both individuals and couples. I also offer 1–3 day intensives for folks who are seeking to grow past creative blocks, move through trauma, process grief, shift their career, repair their relationship, or accelerate movement in another area of life.

My practice is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in deep respect for your internal wisdom.

What approach do you use in couples therapy?

I use the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT). This model is designed to help partners build secure-functioning relationships — where both people feel safe, seen, and supported. It draws from neuroscience, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation.

What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful, neuroscience-informed approach that helps resolve trauma, stress, and emotional blocks — quickly and without needing to retell painful memories in detail. Sessions use guided eye movements and imagery techniques to help your brain reprocess distressing experiences.

I always start with an intake session to make sure ART is the right fit for your needs. ART is offered in weekly extended sessions (90+ minutes), or in an intensive format, for deeper, lasting change.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

Yes! I offer in-person therapy at my office in SE Portland. Virtual sessions are available for people living in Oregon and Washington — I utilize a secure and easy-to-access video platform.

1–3 day intensives are always held in person. Intensives are held over the weekend, Friday–Sunday, and are curated to meet your specific goals. They are scheduled as half-day or full-day sessions over one to three days.

Do you offer groups?

Yes, I offer personal growth and grief workshops. Topics focus on grief, rage, change, identity, and the journey of transformation.

What are your rates?
Individual therapy $225 · 55 minutes
Couples therapy $265 · 55 minutes
ART sessions (weekday) $350 · 90 minutes
ART sessions (weekend) $450 · 90 minutes · Fri PM–Sun
Intensives — individuals Starting at $1,350

How do you determine your rates?

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with advanced training in trauma, grief, and relationship work, my rates are consistent with those of other master's-level therapists offering specialized care in Oregon and Washington.

These fees help me provide high-quality, personalized therapy by supporting the sustainability of my cross-state small business, allowing me to continue advanced clinical training, offer sliding-scale options to those in need, and give back to community-based and ecological initiatives.

Do you offer initial consultations?

Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone or video consultation, allowing you to ask questions and gauge whether we're a good fit.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not contracted with any insurance companies, which means I am considered an out-of-network provider. However, I can provide a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

I recommend checking with your insurance company to see if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits. Insurance companies often will not reimburse the full cost of an extended session (any session over one hour), but you may receive partial reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to verify your benefits.

What is your cancellation policy for weekday sessions?

For both individual and couples therapy, I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session will be charged the full session fee.

This policy is in place because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and I'm unable to offer that time to someone else on short notice. Sessions are scheduled for 55–90 minutes and will end at the originally scheduled time, even if you arrive late.

What is your cancellation policy for Intensives?

Because intensives require significant preparation and involve holding extended time that cannot easily be offered to someone else on short notice, I have a stricter cancellation policy for this format.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking to reserve your intensive dates. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your intensive begins.

  • 14 or more days before your intensive: Your remaining balance will be refunded in full. Your deposit is non-refundable.
  • 7–13 days before your intensive: 50% of the remaining balance will be refunded.
  • Less than 7 days before your intensive: No refund will be issued for any portion of the fee.

If you need to reschedule rather than cancel, I will do my best to find new dates that work for both of us, though I cannot guarantee availability. Rescheduling requests made less than 14 days before your intensive may be treated as a cancellation.
