Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

  • I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, trauma reprocessing using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and group experiences. I also offer ART intensives for folks who are seeking to grow past creative blocks, shift their career, or accelerate movement in another area of life. My practice is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in deep respect for your internal wisdom.

  • I use the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT). This model is designed to help partners build secure-functioning relationships—where both people feel safe, seen, and supported. It draws from neuroscience, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation.

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful, neuroscience-informed approach that helps resolve trauma, stress, and emotional blocks—quickly and without needing to retell painful memories in detail. Sessions use guided eye movements and imagery techniques to help your brain reprocess distressing experiences. I always start with an intake session to make sure ART is the right fit for your needs.

ART is offered in extended sessions (90+ minutes) for deeper, lasting change.

  • I currently work exclusively with adults. However, I do offer consultations for parents and caregivers seeking guidance and resources on how to talk with children about death and grief. Please note, these consultations are informational and supportive, but are not therapy sessions.

  • All weekly sessions, including 90-minute ART sessions, are currently offered virtually for clients in Oregon and Washington. I utilize a secure and easy-to-access video platform.

ART intensives take place in person in Portland, Oregon. Intensives are held over the weekend, Friday-Sunday, and are curated to meet your specific goals. Intensives are scheduled as half-day sessions over one to three days.

  • Yes, I offer both therapeutic groups (for residents of Oregon and Washington) and personal growth circles that are open to individuals outside of Oregon or Washington. Topics focus on grief, rage, change, identity, and the journey of transformation.

  • That’s a great question—and the short answer is: let’s talk. A good therapeutic fit is based on shared values, trust, and relational safety. A consultation or an initial session is a great place to explore that together.

Fees and Services

  • My session fees vary depending on the service:

    • Individual therapy (55 minutes): $200

    • Couples therapy (55 minutes): $250

    • ART sessions (90 minutes): $300 per 90 minutes on weekdays | $450 per 90 minutes on weekends

  • As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with advanced training in trauma, grief, and relationship work, my rates are consistent with those of other master's-level therapists offering specialized care in Oregon and Washington. These fees help me provide high-quality, personalized therapy by supporting the sustainability of my cross-state small business, allowing me to continue advanced clinical training, offer sliding-scale options to those in need, and give back to community-based and ecological initiatives.

  • Yes. I offer a complementary 15-minute phone or video consultation, allowing you to ask questions and gauge whether we’re a good fit.

  • I am not contracted with any insurance companies, which means I am considered an out-of-network provider. However, I can provide a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance company to see if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits.

Insurance companies often will not reimburse the full cost of an extended session (any session over one hour), but you may receive partial reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to verify your benefits.

  • For both individual and couples therapy, I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session will be charged the full session fee.

This policy is in place because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and I’m unable to offer that time to someone else on short notice. Sessions are scheduled for 55-90 minutes and will end at the originally scheduled time, even if you arrive late.

  • What is your cancellation policy for weekend intensives?
For weekend intensives, I require at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

    • Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit minus the cost of reserving office space.

    • Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the scheduled intensive may be eligible for a partial deposit refund or one-time rescheduling, at my discretion.

    • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled start time will incur the full deposit.

If you need to reschedule, the intensive must be rebooked within six weeks of the original date. If it is not rescheduled within that time frame, your deposit will be forfeited.

This policy is in place due to the extended time commitment and preparation involved in planning intensive sessions, which are reserved exclusively for you.
