Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome. Below are answers to some of the most common questions clients ask before beginning therapy or booking a consultation. If your question isn’t answered here, feel free to contact me directly.
-
I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, trauma reprocessing using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and group experiences. I also offer ART intensives for folks who are seeking to grow past creative blocks, shift their career, or accelerate movement in another area of life. My practice is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in deep respect for your internal wisdom.
-
I use the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT). This model is designed to help partners build secure-functioning relationships—where both people feel safe, seen, and supported. It draws from neuroscience, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation.
-
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful, neuroscience-informed approach that helps resolve trauma, stress, and emotional blocks—quickly and without needing to retell painful memories in detail. Sessions use guided eye movements and imagery techniques to help your brain reprocess distressing experiences. I always start with an intake session to make sure ART is the right fit for your needs.
ART is offered in extended sessions (90+ minutes) for deeper, lasting change.
-
I currently work only with adults. If you’re seeking support around how to talk to kids about death or grief, you might find the “Talking to Kids About Death” guide helpful. It’s filled with compassionate guidance, tools, and printable PDFs.

All weekly sessions, including 90-minute ART sessions, are currently offered online for clients in Oregon and Washington. I use a secure, easy-to-access video platform. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and comfort of doing therapy from their home or office.
ART intensives take place in person in Portland, Oregon. Intensives are held over the weekend, Friday-Sunday, and are curated to meet your specific goals. Intensives are scheduled as half-day sessions over one to three days.
-

I do not accept insurance, but I can provide a superbill for clients who wish to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Insurance companies often will not reimburse the full cost of an extended session (any session over one hour), but you may receive partial reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to verify your benefits.
Group rates vary; please check the specific group you’re interested in for more information.

Yes, I offer both therapeutic groups (for residents of Oregon and Washington) and personal growth circles that are open to individuals outside of Oregon or Washington. Topics focus on grief, rage, change, identity, and the journey of transformation.
-
Both! Most groups are currently offered online, though seasonal or special events may be held in person. Each offering will include details. Please take a look at our current in-person offerings.

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee.

That’s a great question—and the short answer is: let’s talk. A good therapeutic fit is based on shared values, trust, and relational safety. A consultation or an initial session is a great place to explore that together.
